Paris Packs a Punch #2
Paris Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 09/10
I think, without a doubt, my favourite show from this season was Elie Saab. If you're going to get wedding dress inspiration from any show it's going to be this one. Romantic, feminine, detailed but still incredibly sexy, Elie Saab really is one of the masters in the bridal world. If you're after Elie Saab in Australia visit www.samanthawynne.com.au. Chanel delivered their usual array of creams, neutrals and whites mixed with blacks and hot pinks. Sheer, beaded fabrics along with an absolutely gorgeous mini wedding dress, with an equally gorgeous suit, proved why Chanel is one of the biggest names in couture. I thought Givenchy's show was a standout. Again sheer fabrics seemed to be the hot ticket, together with intensly intricate beading, embroidery and sharp tailoring made the collection truly mesmerising. I absolutely loved the two-tone gown. I am almost positive this will end up on a celebrity like Angelina Jolie at a fabulous awards ceremony throught the year. Stay tuned for round up #3 later in the week.
