The lovely Kathleen over at Twig and Thistle blogged about these sweet pop up placemats from hello hanna. I am totally in love with them and just wish I was a kid again to have an excuse to use them! They would make a fun and bright addition to the kids table at a wedding and will surely keep the little ones occupied throughout the night.
For Australian shoppers Chic Mother & Baby will be stocking them soon on their website.

shake it up
These mismatch salt and pepper shakers make such sweet little vases, I found them on one of my favourite blogs Sunday Suppers. They would look gorgeous in a cluster or even at every place setting on your tables. You could pick them up pretty cheaply at second hand stores or ebay, they would also make a sweet favour for guests to take home.

Ahoy
I've always fancied a bit of a nautical theme for a wedding - I love some of the details in this inspiration board from Snippet & Ink.
These nifty luggage tags, made from recycled sail would make wonderful decorations for something along this theme. Imagine them tied around napkins at each guest's placesetting or strung from garlands across the room. They're from reiter8 in the US.

Luxe Camping
We are all flat out in the office this week as the print deadline looms! So it was a lovely distraction to receive a beautful marketing pack from Aman Resorts promoting their Aman-i-Khas wilderness camp in Rajasthan, India. It looks absolutely amazing, and this is certainly the kind of camping that I like!! There is tons of wildlife to be seen with guided exceursions into Ranthambore National Park where you may see tigers, leopards, jungle cats and sloth bears. You can also relax in the spa tent with a range of spa treatments to tempt. Rates from October 09 to 30th April 2010 are $875 USD per night. Visit their website here for more details.

A Trump Wedding
It was always going to be a super glamorous affair when Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, married billionaire heir Jared Kushner. Dressed in an exquisite custom made Vera Wang gown inspired by Grace Kelly and diamond drop earrings from her very own Ivanka Trump Collection, valued at $130,000, Ivanka looked simply stunning. Five hundred guests attended the private Jewish ceremony, for which Ivanka converted to Judaism, at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey on Sunday 25th October. Celebs who joined in the party incl. Russell Crowe, Barbara Walters, Natalie Portman and former New York City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani. Ivanka created custom 'Jared & Ivanka' Havaianas for guests along with Swarovski Havaianas for her bridesmaids and Mum, Ivana. A true wedding spectacular!

Fair Hair
So, I was at the hairdresser on Saturday morning and whilst flicking through a pile of mags (as you do when you're getting your mane groomed) I came across this gorgeous hairstyle and thought it'd be perfect for a summer bride. It's a gorgeous style on its own but if you added some pretty flowers it would be super duper specky. I'm all for a braid or two! Excuse the quality of the pic...!!

Follow Me
I am excited to tell you about the gorgeous wedding stationery now available from Follow Studio - it is subtle and refined and elegant and contemporary - and just perfect.
We were lucky enough to work with Jessie from Follow Studio on our Party Time story - she designed the most beautiful stationery for us.
There is plenty more to see on her site too - lovely notecards, swing tags and cards and in her trademark soft, muted palette.
Congratulations Jessie.

All in the Details
Of all the wedding photographs we receive, my favourite is often one of the dress, hanging in the bride's room, waiting to be worn.
A shot from our Playful Shades story in Issue 8 featuring the Charlize gown from Lisa Gowing. The coat hanger belongs to my mum who worked as a stylist for many years and lent it to us for the shoot.
It must be one of your favourites too as we see this shot in many of the wedding submissions we receive. I can't tell you how often we receive versions of this photograph where the dress is divine, the setting is perfect but the coat hanger is horrid. If you are considering including a shot of this kind in your album, make sure you have a lovely coat hanger ready to display your beautiful dress - hangers of the wire or plastic variety simply won't do.
My choice would be something with character like these from David Met Nicole - vintage printed Edwardian hangers.
It really does make such a difference to the final shot and definitely worth considering.

Tea for Two?
A new label I'm loving at the moment is T-bags. As summer roles around my mind is quickly tuning into maxi-dress mode! Launched in 2000 as a handbag line, T-Bags has very quickly became better known for its gorgeous sequinned kurtas and kaftans, delicate jersey tops and pretty dresses. These dresses are simply gorgeous and would make ideal bridesmaids or party dresses. If you're after a maxi-dress to wear with heels or flats these are it. They're also very reasonably priced. Even better! Available at www.net-a-porter.com or visit their website www.tbagslosangeles.com.

Very Crafty
Yesterday Emma very graciously left her brand new copy of Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Crafts on my desk so I could have a look. I'm not sure when she's expecting me to return it but I'm now trying to keep out of her way for a while so I can languish over this incredible resource. Page after page of fantastic crafting ideas - all executed with perfection (sigh!) by the MS crew. This book is brimming with interesting ideas that could be applied to wedding decoration - it's a keeper (sorry Emma).
Available at all good bookstores for $59.95 AUS or from Amazon for around $22 US plus postage.
Visit the Martha Stewart crafting blog for even more inspiration.

The lovely Kate from New Zealand stationey company Ruby & Willow emailed me to let me know that she loved our spring fashion shoot Fly Away so much that she created a mood board in its honour.
