Anybody who knew and admired the work of the immensely talented British designer Alexander 'Lee' McQueen would have been shocked and saddened to hear of his untimely passing on 11 February. The 40 year old, in his time as a designer, had such a moving and influential impact on the fashion industry and will always be remembered for his unique style, amazing attention to detail and his willingness to push the boundaries. We've been lucky enough to have pictures of his collections grace the pages of Wedding Style Guide and I've blogged about his collections many times in the past. His recent spring/summer 2010 collection Plato's Atlantis was hailed as his best yet and will no doubt remain the benchmark for designers creativity for years to come.
