Hair Wear
The AW 09 parades have have seen classic hair styles revamped with edge and a hint of rockstar glamour. It's so nice to see the classic French Scroll updated... how chic. Sleekness seems to be a popular choice for those with longer locks. If a crops your pick then an imaculate blow dry will keep you looking hip. With the most adorable selection of hair pieces, clips etc available in the warmer months it's no surprise that embellished do's are the in thing. Chop chop!

Vintage Vogue
The cycle of fashion keeps on turning - you only have to sneak back to the 50s, 60s and 70s to see how styles from these eras are resurfacing today. For those who are adept with the sewing machine, why not use an original pattern to create a wedding or maid's dress that suits modern day.

These are from Fab Patterns on Etsy.

Clutched
How gorgeous are these purses from Ruby Rose in the UK. Sometimes a beautiful clutch is enough to transform an average outfit in to something really stylish. The lily of the valley one is my all-time favourite. They range in price from around US $75 to $105.

Super Good
Look at this maxi-kit I found on Etsy from Evalicious... it comes with everything you need to create a cute little album - perfect for memory keeping. Definitely worth the US$26 + postage to have everything you need in one place at the same time. The kit comes complete with everything you see plus a pdf tutorial to direct you through the construction.

There's a pink version too, so sweet...

Right on the Mark
Designer collections in US Target stores are nothing new, but only recently have we seen the likes of Stella McCartney and Napoleon Perdis ranges in our Target stores. Now, with much excitement, we can get our hands on a little piece of Collette Dinnigan through her Wild Hearts collection, available now at Target stores nationally.

Luscious Lashes
Ok, a bit over the top for your wedding day, but oh so striking. Visit the Shu Eumura website to see the full range of false eyelashes at the Tokyo Lash Bar 2008. It's couture collection features designers Viktor & Rolf who have designed some truly unique lashes, sure to make anyone stand out in a crowd. They only ship to the US & Canada, so be sure to remember companies like My Us and USA Box who forward on pretty much anything across the oceans to us.

Need Some Inspiration?
Have a look at David Stark's website. WOW. I just love his innovative use of materials…

Look closely, these incredible curtains are made from paint swatches!

Look again, these faux-plants are actually made from shredded paper.

Thinking outside the square when choosing materials for decoration is a great way to personalise your wedding, making it truly unique to you.

A Trip Back in Time
As a designer, I'm trained to look for inspiration in everything. One of my favourite things to do is to trail through old letters and cards, admiring the typography and calligraphy - so carefully considered and executed. If only I could travel back in time and learn to write like this! There are many sites that deal in antique ephemera, one of my favourites is 1800s Ephemera.
