Follow Our Lead

If you're looking for some lovely styling pieces to accent your reception, or home, have a look at the newly launched shop at Love Loans + Linen. Our friend Jessie Doherty from Follow Studio designed the website – one look and you'll recognise Jessie's restrained, understated style.

We were lucky enough to have Jessie design the stationery for our Bloom Boom story in Issue 16. Her beautiful, simple typography complements the delicate Liberty floral fabric perfectly.

Visit Follow Studio to see many more wedding stationery designs - it will be impossible to choose a favourite as they are all divine.

Sneak Peek #2

The fashion shoot in our upcoming issue, out tomorrow, is really something special. Titled White Hot, it showcases some of the most beautiful gowns available to brides in Australia. The opening spread features the stunning Amsale Ella silk-faced, satin, strapless gown available exclusively at Angela Wilson. And I just adore the Guipure lace and English silk tulle gown from Steven Khalil - absolutely beautiful.

Of course, our fabulous photographs were shot by Claudio Raschella who always puts his heart and soul into each shoot. I'm sure you can tell just looking at his work.

Be sure to check out our new issue to see all the amazing White Hot gowns we have in store for you.

Sneak Peek

Our new issue hits the shelves this Wednesday - it's our biggest and best yet (yes, I know I always say that, but it really is!).

To get you all in the mood, here is a little sneak peek at one of my favourite stories - Bloom Boom. Featuring the timeless qualities of floral patterns, this story shows you how to bring just the right amount of pretty to a wedding with delicate florals and contemporary styling.

Not content with showing you every detail to style this theme, we've included a kids' table in the story, just right for all the little guests.

And the best part...Annabelle's daughter, Eliza, was our adorable little model. I can't wait to show you all the behind-the-scenes shots I took as she munched her way through handfuls of popcorn with us all watching on. She really did have the best time which is a pretty good indicator that your little guests will love it too.

Going to the Chapel

With weddings taking place all over the world it's not always possible to have everyone there to share in your big day. Brisbane wedding venue Broadway Chapel has come to the party, launching live web streaming of weddings to cater for overseas family and friends unable to make the journey to Australia. The web streaming was introduced in response to an emotional bride whose New Zealand-based grandmother was too ill to fly to Brisbane for their wedding. The majority of couples who wed at Broadway Chapel have close family members who live outside of Brisbane. Live video streaming works by having the video on a protected network. Family members then receive a special log-in so they can see the exchanging of vows for themselves. The service costs AUD$88. For further information, or to arrange an interview with one of the couples or James Paulsen, co-owner of Broadway Chapel please call Amanda Newbery on +61 (0)7 3221 6711 or visit www.broadwaychapel.com.

Island Adventure

The uber-lovely Collette Dinnigan celebrated the launch of her 2010 Resort Collection on Saturday 21st August with a show at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. The Hamptons High Tea collection was unveiled at the Long Pavillion at luxury resort Qualia during an invitation only event. The collection, channeling silver screen vintage glamour, offered elegantly suggestive shapes with full skirted dresses of silk and pure cottons, ruffled swimsuits and cheeky playsuits. This year Collette is celebrating her 20th year in business so we wish all the lovely people at Collette Dinniagn a very happy 20th birthday!

I spent the weekend just been in Sydney wedding dress shopping with my dear friend Amie who is getting married next year. I'm super excited to be her bridesmaid and it so happens we've fallen madly in love with a couple of Collette Dinnigan dresses that would make amazing bridesmaid dresses. We paid a visit to Collette's Paddington boutique and if you haven't poppped in before I suggest you do. Simply beautiful! The only problem you'll face is narrowing down your favourites. Her pieces are all simply divine! Visit www.collettedinnigan.com.au for boutique and stockist details.
