Rally the Girls - SATC 2 is nearly here!

I have a confession to make. I am completely and utterly excited about the release of Sex and the City 2. OMG! I think I've already watched the trailer at least 3 times. For many women SATC is the ultimate ladies night, myself included. The hours spent watching the series on DVD is seriously begining to stack up so another installment is just what the doctor ordered. If you so happen to be having, or planning for that matter, a hen's or girls night for early June consider cosmopolitans, your favourite pair of heels, your most chic bunch of friends and head to the movies. Many cinemas and organisations host preview nights to raise money for a variety of different charities so do your bit. To view the trailer visit www.sexandthecitymovie.com. I must also confess I'm super duper excited to hear Australian artist Ricky-Lee's song Can't Touch It featuring loud and clear in the trailer. I couldn't have thought of a more suitable theme song if I tried. SATC 2 will be released Australia wide on the 3rd June. Double click on the below image to view the trailer!

To Have & To Hold

The lovely Elana, superstar behind the New York company Melangerie NYC, let me know about some cool new bits and pieces that are being launched. Their new genealogy chart design would make a trendy addition to any wedding along with three new designs for welcome gift packaging and customizable event guides. I'm loving the idea of goodie bags made out of cotton and printed with cute phrases such as 'To Have & To Hold'. Now that plastic bags are pretty much a thing of the past it's a great gift to your guests that you know they'll use again when they hit up the markets, supermarkets or even the beach. The memory of your day will stay with them for years to come. And... who likes carrying ugly green shopping bags? Not me! Visit www.melangerienyc.com to check out all their newest pieces.

Lady In Red
There is nothing more showstopping than an amazing red dress with killer heels and a fancy bag. Red is one of the those colours that can either look totally fabulous or totally trashy. It's important to not overdo the red factor when choosing this as a colour for your engagement party, wedding or for your bridesmaids. It's often just the dress, bag or shoes in red that will gather the most attention. There are so many fabulous ways you can add this vibrant, happy colour to your wedding and obviously clothing and flowers would be the most obvious choice. We put red to good use in our Breakfast Club story in issue 4 and showed some great ways to incorporate the colour of love into your big day.

Pretty in Pink
One of the most popular colours for weddings would have to be pink. In any shade pink can turn a wedding from drab and dreary to delicious and dreamy. With so many flowers in pink you'll never struggle to find that perfect bloom. One of my fave colours to mix with pink is silver. It looks so sophisticated and makes a great alternative to black. A cute little cocktail dress in silver matched with the cutest pink pumps and exquisite jewellery will instantly add class. I've pieced together a Polyvore to help give you some inspiration when deciding on the best ways to incorporate this divine colour scheme into your wedding. Don't be affraid to go pink. Afterall, so many men look super sexy in a pink shirt!

Follow the Yellow Brick Road
As more and more stores are beginning to stock their shelves with the autumn/winter offerings one thing is becomming clear. Black and yellow is back. My favourite piece of clothing is the LBD (little black dress for those unaware) but it's nice to see it in a new light. Donna Karan got the idea quick smart with the DKNY Ikat print strapless dress. I couldn't resist putting together a Polyvore (my new addiction) to give your a head start in sprinkling your wardrobe with some sunny love.

Cocktail Hour
There's one thing I love on a hot day and that's a cool, refreshing cocktail. As it's Friday I thought what better day than to share with you some of my favourites.
