Anon. Women

Ben Smith, the talented Melbourne-based designer behind the label Anon. Women, has just released his Summer 09/10 collection, along with a new bridal colleciton. Anon. Women appreciates grace and versatility and aims to continually create pieces that a woman can rely on and continually seek comfort in. His bridal collection, inspired by iconic brides like Carolyn Besette-Kennedy, is based on Smith’s exploration of draping a single piece of cloth around the body to create a dress. The way it hangs, is draped and caught creates the shape in relationship to the body underneath. The results are simple, chic dresses that move around the body with grace, elegance and ease. There are four key styles in the launch range: a bias cut silk crepe dress with silk chiffon overlay and fish tail and back drape, a bias draped, silk crepe one shouldered dress with fish tail, a silk crepe one shouldered draped dress with asymmetric hem and a silk crepe draped one shouldered dress is also available. Visit www.anonwomen.com to view the collection.
